Mandauehanon Ka Ba?

Intending to bridge the various Mandauehanon communities all over the world, Taga-Mandaue Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to draw together Mandauehanons and enable them to contribute significantly to the development of Mandaue.

The organization also serves as an international registry of Mandauehanons living in various parts of the globe. There are registered chapters from all over the world and the central office and organizational base is in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines.

Membership is open to all current and former residents of Mandaue City and those who fondly refer to Mandaue as home.

The organization expects to hold biennial conventions in Mandaue City with the first ever convention to be held on May 2,  2009 at the Cebu International Convention Center,  Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines.

TMI First International Convention Postponed

The scheduled May 2 TMI First International Convention has been moved to May 9, 2009, Saturday, 1:00pm - 6:00pm, at Rm104 of Cebu International Convention Center, Mandaue City, Cebu.

We are inviting all Mandauehanon balikbayans who are currently now in Mandaue City (and those who are still coming home for the fiesta) and Mandauehanons in any part of Cebu to take part in this historical afternoon.

Pag-Abi-Abi On May 1

The Fiesta Committee, together with CHEST and Taga-Mandaue, Inc., would like to invite all balikbayan Mandauehanons (who came home to celebrate the City’s Fiesta) to a night of delicacies and old-school music at the Mandaue City Plaza on May 1, 2009, 8:00pm.

Fiesta Mood Is High!

The Mandaue City Fiesta, in honor of St Joseph, will officially kick-off on April 29, 2009, with a grand motorcade around the main streets of Mandaue City and an opening salvo at the Mandaue City Square/Plaza.

To complement the event, Taga-Mandaue, Inc. (TMI), a newly formed organization co-spearheading the fiesta with CHEST, recently announced that balikbayans will be treated to a ’salubong’ get-together on May 1, with Mandauehanong Pag-Abi-Abi at the Mandaue City Square/Plaza, a convention on May 2 at the Cebu International Convention Center and a grand ball on May 3, still at the Cebu International Convention Center.

On May 1, it will be a treat with famous Mandaue delicacies and cultural music. On May 2, it will be a sit-down plenary discussion and an assembly on the Constitution of Taga-Mandaue, Inc. as well as election of its officers. On May 3, it will a formal dinner party with a presidential grand ball and induction of officers.

Taga-Mandaue, Inc. is open for membership - male/female, 18 years old and above, with roots and family traceable to Mandaue City, Cebu. Membership Fee is Php1,500.00* for two (2) years for Philippine-based and $100.00** for US and other countries.
